I chose Gentle Pet Passages because I knew they accepted Care Credit but what I didn’t know was just how amazing Dr. Killian and his team would be from the very beginning til the very end with helping us say goodbye to our sweet baby girl, Teagan Rilo.
It started with the initial phone call, I was greeted with such empathy and warmth. His team made the consultation process very easy and I really felt comfort being able to text at anytime with any questions or concerns I forgot to ask initially. I didn’t feel rushed or like we were just another number on their to do list.
When Dr. Killian arrived at our home he was warm, kind and took his time getting to know Teagan while he explained to us step by step in great detail what was going to happen and what to expect. By the time he was done explaining everything, Teagan had laid herself right down next to him almost as if she was saying she was ready too.
Once she was gone, Dr. Killian stepped out to give us some privacy and let us and her fur brothers say their final goodbyes. When we were ready he came back in, placed our baby girl in a wicker basket, gave us both very heartfelt hugs along with condolences and then left.
We decided to do at home euthanizing because our girl was never a fan of car rides nor vet offices, in order to even get her examined our vet office had to sedate her. We wanted her to be comfortable, not anxious or scared and Dr. Killian did exactly that.
I miss my daughter everyday and some days are harder than others but on those hard days I find comfort in knowing this was the best final gift I could give to her and I’m so grateful for Dr. Killian. You are truly a gift from above and what you did for us and Teagan will always hold dear. Thank you to you and all your team so so much.
